Enterprise SSO - One Account for All Systems, Now Including Insightful
It’s now easier and faster than ever to securely log into Insightful with SSO options like Okta, OneLogin and Azure.
In building Insightful, we always have the goal of making life easier for our customers. A big part of this is saving time for our users by making Insightful seamless to use, but also secure.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that from now on Insightful customers will be able to sign in using the same account already in use across various other systems.
With this new Single Sign-On option, our users can register and login using any identity provider that can be integrated via SAML protocol. This includes popular Identity Providers, such as Okta, OneLogin, Azure, and more.
How to Set Up SSO
Just like with every new feature we release, steps for setting up SSO are simple and straight-forward.
Admins can setup the SSO integration from Settings in the new Security and Identity menu section.
Once in the Security and Identity menu section, simply select “Configure SAML.
From there, the whole setup process requires just 3 simple steps:
- Add Identity Provider Details - Issuer ID, LogIn URL and Identity Provider Certificate
- Add Service Provider Details
- SAML integration Verification
Upon successful completion, the status of the SSO Configuration becomes “SSO Configured & Verified”.
Of course, our customers have the option to Edit or Disconnect SSO anytime. Once disconnected, Admins will be able to set up a new SSO connection.
Currently, as an Admin, you have the ability to set up one SSO. But not for long! We’re planning to add the ability to set up multiple SSOs in the near future.
It’s important to note that once a user signs in with SSO, that will be the only way he/she would be able to sign into Insightful.
Who Can Use the SSO Option?
All Admins, Managers and Clients will be able to log in using an Identity Provider. However, if a user has signed up for Insightful already, there will be a couple of different scenarios related to using SSO.
On the Sign In screen we have added a new button “Sign in with SSO”. By clicking on it, users will be redirected to a page where they need to insert their email.
We’re excited for you to try out the new SSO option. We hope that it will provide an easier and more secure way for you to log in and analyze the productivity and efficiency of your workforce.
And that’s not all! Our customers will also no longer have to worry about forgetting their passwords, because we are introducing the ability to log in and sign up via Google, Slack and Microsoft in the coming days.
