Manage Your Integrations with Ease

Discover the revamped Integration Card in Settings. A central hub for all your integration needs:

  • One-stop Overview: View and manage all integrations from a single dashboard. You will see here 3 tabs:
  • Directory: Upload CSV files from here.

  • Data Warehouse: Through our platform, you have the capability to export raw data to BigQuery. Once your data is in BigQuery, you have the flexibility to utilize it with BI tools of your choice, such as Power BI, Looker, and Tableau. Please note that we do not provide direct integrations with these BI tools. Any BI integration post-export is the responsibility of the customer.

  • Project Management (Beta): This is a new tab where you will find current integrations with project management tools. In the upcoming months, you will see more and more integrations added to this tab.

  • Easy Configurations: Activate, deactivate, or modify integrations effortlessly.

More tabs to come! As we add more integrations, we will add more tabs to the Integration Card.

Note: After syncing, you will be able to see a complete overview of all your integrations. See how many projects you have synced, how many tasks are in sync, and if you have any unmatched employees. You can also add more projects for sync and manage mapping employees from this page. Click Go to Projects to see detailed productivity insights and see how your team is spending their time.

Integrating Your Project Management Tool 

Insightful's project management integrations allow you to track time on your projects and dive deep into your team's time allocation. This can help you improve productivity, identify bottlenecks, and make better decisions about resource allocation.

Initial Setup and Authentication

To set up project management integrations with Insightful you will need to be an administrator:

  1. Navigate to the Settings → Integrations page → Project Management (Beta).
  2. Click on Configure Integration for the chosen provider.
  3. Follow the step-by-step instructions for your project management tool.

Syncing Your Projects

Once you have been successfully authenticated as an Administrator, you are ready to begin syncing your projects. 

Choose which projects/lists from the project management application you want to sync with Insightful.

Once all projects/lists are imported, you will be able to immediately start tracking time on projects/lists and tasks.

When selecting projects to sync with Insightful, it is important to consider the following factors:

  • The size and complexity of the project: Larger and more complex projects may require more granular data, which can be difficult to track in a project management tool.

  • Syncing Flexibility: Different project management tools offer varied syncing capabilities. While some allow for straightforward syncing of to-dos, others might provide a more comprehensive sync of lists and tasks. It's crucial to select tools that match your specific project needs.

  • Seamless Data Integration:  It's important to note that not all project management tools will seamlessly integrate with Insightful. In scenarios where direct sync with project management tools is possible, workflow is streamlined, eliminating the need for manual data transfers.

Once you have considered these factors, you can start to select the projects that you want to sync with Insightful. It is important to be selective, as syncing too many projects can overload Insightful and make it difficult to track your data.

User Mapping

During the initial setup in Insightful, you'll be prompted to map users between your project management provider and our platform. This step is pivotal for time tracking and ticket assignments. Insightful prioritizes matching users based on their email addresses and then their full names. Unmatched users? Don't worry, you can manually map them anytime later.

Please note, this is a beta phase feature. If you experience any discrepancies or issues with user mapping, kindly reach out to our support. Time tracking won't be available for unmatched users, but we'll ensure that your ticket details are kept in sync in real time.
