Timelines - A New View for Analyzing Your Company’s Productivity
Our exciting new Timelines feature provides fresh daily insights into your team’s time, habits and schedules.
Whether you are working in the office or from home -- or a bit of both -- analyzing employee work time, habits, and schedules is becoming increasingly hard to figure out and manage.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce Timelines, an insightful new report now available for all Workpuls customers.
The new Timelines view presents the daily activities of all active employees in one place, on any selected day. This clear representation helps users define gaps in shifts and activities, identify the most active hours in your company, and enables you to better benchmark employee performance.
This new functionality builds on our existing Timeline feature, which allows you to analyze activities for individual employees. With the new Timelines view, you can now easily and clearly analyze activities on a team-wide and company-wide basis.
Beyond a summarized view, behind each portion of a shift you can also see a complete overview of that time period, as well access deeper behavioural data via Activity Logs.
How to Use the Timelines View
To access Timelines view, log into your Workpuls admin portal and select “Activities” on the sidebar.
From the Timelines view, you’ll see when each employee started their day, their active/idle time, and breaks taken. This data can then be easily compared with that of other employees.
The view can be filtered and analyzed by team, and based on a specific day in your work calendar.
Access Even Deeper Data Insights
It’s easy to access even more data about employee behavior within the Timelines view. Simply hover over any activity and this will reveal more details about it in a tooltip.
For example, you can analyze when employees used a specific app or website, and how much time they spent using it during selected timeframes.
This level of detail that Timelines view provides can mean big things for team productivity. You can see when your employees are most productive throughout the day, how much time is spent in meetings, when they take breaks, or time spent scrolling social media.
Additionally, clicking on “View Logs” opens an Activity Logs screen that displays preset filters for an employee. This gives you a play-by-play timeline of your employee’s activities during a nominated timeframe.
Making Your Employees Part of the Process
As part of the new functionality, you can also allow your employees to access and analyze their productivity data from within the Timelines view.
Allowing employees to analyze their productivity and tracked data is important for their professional growth, development, and engagement. Simply, when you make employees part of the process, it’s better for you and them.
